Now that we have all started to settle in to the new season of dance, let’s talk about how we continue that same motivation and excitement throughout the year.
As dancers and parents have begun to settle down and get back into the routines now is a great time to reflect and think about how to hold onto that passion all season long.
Take some time to think about the classes you are enrolled in and what you have learned so far. Talk to your teacher and ask them about the curriculum and what the plans are for the year. Teachers love this as they want you to be excited and invested in what comes next. This will give you some information to focus on and stay present in all of your classes. It may take a minute before you figure out that studio, school, life balance but taking the time now to set your goals will help you to do just that and stay inspired for what is to come.
Before each class take a moment for yourself and think about what it is you want out of it. How will you be present, how will you show up for yourself and fellow dancers, how will you grow each and every class. These are great questions to ask yourself to help get started and stay focussed on you and your journey throughout the year and will help you to stay inspired and keep that excitement throughout the year.
