I have been thinking back to my college days lately and remembering one very important class “Dance Theory” I remember it was the first class and Mrs. P asked us all to write words on the board (yes, an old-fashioned chalkboard, I’m that old) that popped into our head when we thought about dance. The words were flying and before you knew it we had at least 50 words on that board. Words like: “Beauty, work ethic, hard, strength, art, discipline” and more. However, the actual lesson was that the one word that nobody wrote was “FUN”. Can you imagine??? This is why every one of us started! Dance is FUN! It doesn’t need to be anything else.
Remember why you started. If dance or anything ever stops being fun, it is time to move on.
